About Us

Henson & Murray Engine Rebuilders, located in Taupō, New Zealand, has been proudly serving customers since 1997. We specialise in engine reconditioning for a wide range of engines, including light to heavy diesel, general automotive, motorcycle, marine, industrial, and high-performance race/street engines.

Scott and Leanne Murray, along with Brian Henson founded the business in 1997, collectively bringing over 85 years of experience. Following Brian's retirement in April 2024, Scott and Leanne have taken over full ownership. However, Brian remains a valuable team member, contributing part-time while also enjoying his passions for hunting and mountain biking.

Cameron Stephens, our Workshop Manager, has been with the business since 2016. He started as a Labourer, completed his apprenticeship and worked his way up under the watchful eye of both Brian and Scott.  So, rest assured, Cameron is very competent in his work, and also has a passion for our RMC CNC Machine.  Our entire staff are highly skilled and fully qualified in their respective areas, bringing a wealth of knowledge to our workshop.

As a reliable supplier of quality engine reconditioning services, we take pride in catering to the unique needs of each project. Whether it's delivering the precision necessary for performance race engines or ensuring a timely turnaround for commercial and industrial applications, we are committed to providing the best results possible.

Our dedication to excellence has earned us a reputation as leaders in the industry, and we continue to prioritise customer satisfaction above all else.

Trust Henson & Murray Engine Rebuilders for all your engine reconditioning needs in New Zealand.
