Penrite 2018 UIM World Series V8 Superboats
The Penrite 2018 UIM V8 Superboat World Series has recently been held in Australia, where Nick Berryman from Team RiverJet Racing and Ross Travers from Radioactive Jet Sprint Team took their boats across the ditch to see how they would stack up.
The first round of the series was held in Keith, South Australia an the second round in Cabarita, just out of Sydney.
The team from RiverJet Racing took their 410 Supercharged Chev machined by us here at Henson and Murray and built by Coleman Marine to the series. Alongside Nick Berryman (Owner/Driver) was Bronson Dunne (Fuel Tune Technician), Tim Coleman (Boat and Engine Builder) and Amanda Kittow (navigator) who tagged along to ensure everything ran smoothly. During the first round of the series, the team came away with an impressive third place in the superboats, putting them in a nice position for the second round at Cabarita. The second round was proving tricky with a short and challenging track that consisted of alot of corners, but the team managed to pull away with a second place! putting them third overall for in series, a wicked result on an international scale we say!
Ross Travers from Radioactive also attended the series, with a Chev GM engine also machined by us here at Henson and Murray and built by Coleman Marine. The Radioactive team with Ross Travers (Driver/Owner) and Shane Travers (Navigator) competed in the 400 class, where they landed a second place in the first series at Keith, and a fourth place in Cabarita, where they walked away with a second place overall in the series!
Congratulations to everyone who competed in the series, were excited to see what 2019 will bring!
